2023 UCT #AMATHUBA4ALL STUDENT PROTESTS
UCT students staged multiple protests against the University which was denying students the ability to register due to outstanding debt - among other issues. Police were called to the campus by order of the then Vice-Chancellor, Sue Harrison.
